What is microneedling treatment?

Microneedling treatment is a popular procedure that helps to address common skin concerns without the need for cosmetic surgery. Our microneedling treatment is less invasive than alternative treatments and provides great results for issues including fine lines and wrinkles, acne scarring, open pores, and pigmentation.

Microneedling treatment utilises tiny needles which gently glide across the skin and are designed to cause minuscule traumas on the surface. These micro-traumas triggers the skin to heal itself, encouraging the natural production of new collagen and elastin to repair any damage, resulting in rejuvenated skin.

At Almas, we keep the process as comfortable as possible with Microneedling treatment, providing immediate results with minimal downtime. The treatment we recommend will depend on the areas of concern you have. Microneedling for pigmentation will help the appearance, whilst Microneedling for open pores will make the skin feel dry but will achieve the perfect balance between oily and dry skin. We’ll also use additional serums which are applied to the skin to help boost your results for long-lasting skin confidence.

Microneedling treatment can address the following areas:

Face

Neck

Body

All treatments are tailored to the individual and personal experiences and results may vary. We recommend a one to one consultation with our Doctors to discuss your treatment options.

Microneedling Treatment FAQs

Microneedling can be slightly uncomfortable but our Doctors are highly trained to make the process as comfortable as possible for you. Some of our microneedling treatments use deeper needle penetration for maximum results, but we offer numbing cream which can be used before the procedure to ensure that the process is as pain-free as possible. Your personal Doctor will fully discuss the process with you beforehand and address any concerns you may have.

Microneedling is less invasive than many other procedures and will result in little downtime. Following your microneedling procedure, you may notice the skin around the treated area appear slightly red, swollen, and tighter than usual, but these side effects are perfectly normal and will usually subside within a few hours. Your personal Doctor will explain the aftercare recommendations following microneedling treatment and fully prepare you beforehand, but you will be able to return to your normal day-to-day lifestyle and apply mineral makeup almost instantly.

If you have a skin concern such as rosacea, acne, or hyperpigmentation, microneedling can provide a non-surgical solution to help. The weakened blood vessels which can cause rosacea that appears to red the skin can be stimulated by microneedling to help encourage skin rejuvenation. As with anyone looking for microneedling in London, a full assessment will be required during consultation before undergoing treatment. This is to ensure your suitability for the results required and so our expert team can make the right recommendations for you if you have rosacea.

At Almas Dentistry & Aesthetics, we believe a dentist / doctor have a better understand of the skin and its behvaviour therefore all our consultations and treatments are only performed with a medical professional to ensure the best results are acheieved.
